Fresh Brews: Belgian Cookie Ale Recipe, Homebrew Personalities and More

Fresh Brews is my almost weekly round up of everything going on in the craft beer/homebrew blogging world. I link to some of my favorite articles that I’ve read in the past week and hope you enjoy them as much as I did.

Beervana: Best-Selling American Craft Beers
Without looking what do you think are the highest selling craft beers? I’ll give you a hint, most of them have been around for at least ten years.

NC Home Brewing: Guest Post: Homebrew Personalities
Billy Boras of Homebrew Academy did a guest post over on NC Home Brewing, breaking down the common types of home brewers. So which type of home brewing category did you fit most into?

Mash Sprage Boil: Belgian Cookie Ale Recipe
One of my many favorites at Cigar City Brewing is their Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. I don’t know if I’m up to the task of making a clone of that quiet yet, but Neil shares this home brew recipe has my mouth watering. I’m putting it on my list of recipes to try at some point.

Daily Beer Review: Life And Limb 2
Rob over at Daily Beer Review took a look at one of my favorite beers of 2011, Dogfish Head and Sierra Nevada’s collaboration called Life And Limb 2. I enjoy reading other reviews of beers that I’ve written about, seeing what they picked up on, discovering what I may have missed when I was tasting a beer.

I'm a former coffee blogger, but I’ve been getting to know some really good craft beers and really getting into home brewing. I couldn’t resist starting this little project called Passion For The Pint. When I’m not blogging about coffee or beer, you can find me exploring New Orleans’ wide range of eateries, rooting for the New York Yankees (don’t hate me, I’m originally from New York), working out to burn off the beer calories or reading about beer.
