I’ve heard a lot of funny, amusing and sometimes serious beer quotes. They’re said by politicians, writers and cartoon characters. Some I can relate to. Some not so much. Anyways, here’s some of my favorites and a few others that I’ve come across online.
“I work until beer o’clock.”
-Steven King
“Without question, the greatest invention in the history of mankind is beer. Oh, I grant you that the wheel was also a fine invention, but the wheel does not go nearly as well with pizza.”
-Dave Barry
“Make sure that the beer – four pints a week – goes to the troops under fire before any of the parties in the rear get a drop.”
-Winston Churchill
“A fine beer may be judged with only one sip, but it’s better to be thoroughly sure.”
-Czech Proverb
“Everybody has to believe in something…..I believe I’ll have another drink.”
-W.C. Fields
“Sometimes when I reflect back on all the beer I drink I feel ashamed – Then I look into the glass and think about the workers in the brewery and all of their hopes and dreams. If I didn’t drink this beer, they might be out of work and their dreams would be shattered. Then I say to myself, ‘It is better that I drink this beer and let their dreams come true than be selfish and worry about my liver.'”
-Jack Handy (American Humorist)
“Always do sober what you said you’d do drunk. That will teach you to keep your mouth shut.”
-Ernest Hemmingway
“Always remember that I have taken more out of alcohol than alcohol has taken out of me.”
-Winston Churchill
“May your glass be ever full. May the roof over your head be always strong. And may you be in heaven half an hour before the devil knows you’re dead.”
-Traditional Irish Toast
“Beer needs baseball, and baseball needs beer – it has always been thus.”
-Peter Richmond
“All right, brain, I don’t like you and you don’t like me – so let’s just do this and I’ll get back to killing you with beer.”
-Homer Simpson
“I feel sorry for people who don’t drink. When they wake up in the morning, that’s as good as they’re going to feel all day.”
-Frank Sinatra
“I would kill everyone in this room for a drop of sweet beer.”
-Homer Simpson
“Beer is proof that God loves us and wants us to be happy.”
-Benjamin Franklin (although there is some doubt now to if he actually said it)
“You’re not drunk if you can lie on the floor without holding on.”
-Dean Martin
“Give me a woman who loves beer and I will conquer the world.”
-Kaiser Wilhelm
Any that I’m missing? What’s your favorite beer quote?

Not sure of the origin Mike, but a favorite of mine is “you don’t buy beer, only rent it”.
Or I like Humphrey Bogart’s “The problem with the world is that everyone is a few drinks behind.”
Or lol, Frank Zappa’s “You can’t be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline – it helps if you have some kind of football team or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.”
That’s one of my favorite quotes and I can’t believe I forgot about it!
That’s the first time I’ve heard that one Bogart.
Zappa’s is another good one that I completely forgot about too.
